Stories at the 1st. Annual Crossroads for Women Retreat!!! / Cuentos en el 1er. Retiro Anual de Crossroads para Mujeres

Reflection,

Once upon a time, there was this amazing group of women, who would do whatever it took and they were suggested (by the great team at Maya's Place, Crossroads et al) that would help them and guide them on their path to a healthy recovery.

A recovery that implies re-learning and re-discovering the three 'r's, namely,

Respect for themselves,

Respect for others,

Responsibility for their actions.

These lines aim at sharing with them that their choice and willingness to accept being helped, sets a highly motivational example to follow.

An example of strength, courage and love for themselves and their children, as well as love for life itself.

Today, Friday 29th August, after having shared an unforgettable evening in the YWCA campsite with some of these women, I felt the need to pay tribute to them and thank them to having allowed me to share a part of their lives.

Cheers for the incredible team in charge of the program!!!

Reflexion:

Erase una vez un grupo de mujeres increibles, que harian lo que fuera o lo que se les aconsejara (de parte del equipo del programa Maya's, Crossroads y demas voluntarios) que pudiera ayudarlas y guiarlas en su camino a l recuperacion.
Una recuperacion que implica re-aprender y re-descubrir las tres ' r' s, a saber:
Respeto por ellas mismas,
Respeto por los demas,
Responsabilidad por sus acciones.
El objetivo de estas lineas, es compartir con ellas el hecho de que su eleccion y buena disposicion de aceptar ser ayudadas, sienta un muy motivador ejemplo a seguir.
Un ejemplo de fuerza, coraje y amor por ellas mismas y por sus hijos y por la vida misma.
Hoy, viernes 29 de agosto, despues de haber compartido un atardecer inolvidable en el campamento en la sede de YWCA, con algunas de estas mujeres, siento la necesidad de rendirles homenaje y agradecerles el haberme permitido compartir una parte de sus vidas.

Un hurra y gracias mil al equipo a cargo del programa!!!
