when we think of the moment of choosing a story or writing it,
true! it´s just you...the story or pen and paper,
and then, then you start crafting,
letting your imagination go...
crafting the characters,
letting yourself go,
setting the scene,
smelling the perfumes,
feeling the temperature,
seeing,
touching,
and deciding...
this sentence first?
nop, better the other...
dialogue or no dialogue?
just a narrator?
what about voices?
what about the voices of the characters?
editing...
and what about the ending???
and so you start testing,
saying it loud,
whispering...
repeating it to yourself,
either on your way to work,
or when you´re just getting ready to go to bed,
or like right now ...you wake up in the morning,
have an idea...
and... alas!
this is the way I want this story to be...
and this is the way I´d like to tell it...
so,
I wonder whether this is really a solitary activity
when we actually are accompanied by the characters...
embraced by the story...
I guess that we are in very good company,
only we need to decide for how long,
and we need to decide who will be closer to us,
and then ...share,
share these moments and cherish them;
every time we´d go and give life to these people and places,
and let others know about this romance we experienced when we found that story,
or when we wrote it.

Narración y escritura, ¿actividad solitaria?
Cuando pensamos en el momento de elegir un cuento o escribirlo,
es verdad, es solo tú...el cuento o el papel y el lápiz,
y después viene el tramado:
soltar la imaginación,
moldear los personajes,
dejarse llevar,
preparar la escena,
oler los perfumes,
sentir la temperatura,
ver,
tocar
y decidir...
¿ésta oración primero?
no, mejor ésta otra,
¿un narrador?
¿voces?
¿las voces de los personajes?
editar,
¿qué hay sobre el final?
y entonces comienzas a probarlo,
decirlo en voz alta,
susurrarlo,
repetírtelo a ti mismo,
ya sea camino al trabajo,
o justo antes de irte a dormir,
o como en éste momento...despiertas a la mañana,
tienes una idea...
y...¡sí!
así es como quiero el cuento,
así es como me gustaría contarlo,
de modo que me pregunto...
¿es ésta de verdad una actividad solitaria?
cuando en realidad, estamos acompañados por los personajes,
abrazados por el cuento,
intuyo que, a decir verdad, estamos en muy buena compañía,
sólo nos resta decidir, quién estará más cerca nuestro,
y luego...compartir,
compartir esos momentos y albergarlos;
cada vez que le demos vida a esas gentes y lugares,
y compartamos con los otros, ese romance que experimentamos
cuando encontramos ese cuento o cuando lo escribimos.
